Rufa Mae Quinto breaks silence on rip-off costs: ‘I am a sufferer’

Actress Rufa Mae Quinto has damaged her silence relating to allegations linking her to a rip-off as she clarified that she, too, is a sufferer of the state of affairs following studies that she is dealing with a standing warrant of arrest.

Quinto’s title was dragged for related costs that had actress-businesswoman Neri Naig locked up in jail after they had been included within the grievance for violation of Part 8 of Republic Act 8799 lodged in opposition to skincare firm Derma Care, which was flagged by the Securities and Alternate Fee (SEC).

Via an announcement launched by her authorized counsel, Atty. Mary Louise Reyes, on Tuesday afternoon on Dec. 3, the comedian-actress firmly denied the accusations and vowed to hunt justice and shield her fame.

“Let me state this unequivocally: I HAVE NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER TO ANY FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY AND I CATEGORICALLY DENY THESE BASELESS ACCUSATIONS. IF ANYTHING, I AM ALSO A VICTIM AND I AM DETERMINED TO SEEK JUSTICE,” she mentioned.

Quinto then expressed her dismay over the allegations, saying she is absolutely dedicated to integrity and professionalism.

“Over time, I’ve labored tirelessly to construct my profession and preserve my untarnished fame, which is rooted in integrity and dedication. As a public determine, I’ve at all times demonstrated professionalism, transparency, and respect for the individuals and types I work with. It’s dejecting to see my title being dragged via the mud, however I stay steadfast and assured that the reality will quickly prevail,” she said.

The 46-year-old actress acknowledged the assist from followers and family members as she assured to offer her full cooperation with the authorities.

“I’ll cooperate absolutely with the authorities and face this difficulty via the right authorized discussion board. Relaxation assured, I’ll battle for my title and fame. To those that have prolonged their love and assist, I’m grateful. Allow us to enable justice to take its course, and I humbly ask to your endurance and understanding as the reality unfolds,” she concluded her assertion.

Regardless of the warrant, Quinto’s lawyer earlier clarified that the actress was not concerned in a large-scale estafa grievance, a non-bailable offense.

Part 8 of Republic Act 8799, also referred to as the Securities Regulation Code, prohibits people from performing as brokers, salespersons, or related personnel of any vendor within the sale or buy of securities until they’re duly registered with the Securities and Alternate Fee.

This provision ensures that solely licensed and controlled people can take part in securities transactions, sustaining transparency and investor safety.
