Not less than 18 individuals had been killed and 5 injured after an explosion tore by a firecracker storage facility within the western Indian state of Gujarat on Monday.

Many of the victims had been from the neighbouring state of Madhya Pradesh. They had been killed after a concrete slab collapsed on them.
