Champions Trophy 2025 will start on February 19 with a gap match between Pakistan vs New Zealand on the Nationwide Stadium.
The mini World Cup will return after an eight-year hiatus with the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in just two days. Pakistan, the reigning champions, will host the competition after defeating India in the 2017 final. But because the BCCI refused to send the squad to Pakistan, India will play all of its games in Dubai due to security concerns.
The most prominent absences among the top teams are Sri Lanka and the West Indies, while Afghanistan will play in the Champions Trophy for the first time. With the exception of Bangladesh and Pakistan, all six teams have experienced injury setbacks, with Australia being the most severely impacted.
This is the first ICC event to be held in Pakistan in thirty years. The Champions Trophy 2025 will not have a captain’s news conference prior to the event, unlike recent ICC tournaments, because to the hectic schedules of certain teams.
