Crew India have now gone 2-1 up on this 5-match collection by successful the third T20I on Wednesday. However how did each Indian participant fare within the lately concluded T20I?
India Player Rating vs Zimbabwe: And with that Team India have taken a 2-1 lead over Zimbabwe by staking their claim in the third T20I in Harare. It was an all-round show by the Men in Blue unit, who recorded a 23-run win on the back of Shubman Gill’s 66 & Ruturaj Gaikwad’s quick-fire 49. It was Washington Sundar, however, who clinched the Player of the Match for his miserly three-fer.
IND vs ZIM: Who scored 10/10?
Shubman Gill (8/10): It was a captain’s knock by Gill, who made 66 runs in the first innings. He looked in sublime touch and put behind his two failures in the previous matches. The Indian skipper laid a perfect platform for the visitors to end up with a commanding score of 182.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (7/10): Team India slotted in Yashasvi Jaiswal straight from the third T20I and made him open despite Abhishek scoring a wondrous ton in the last game. It looked like a typical Jaiswal innings as he hammered the Zimbabwe bowlers right from the start. However, post three overs, he slowed down and was caught at backward point at 36 off 27.
Abhishek Sharma (3/10): There were no fireworks for Abhishek today as he was holed out at boundary while slogging one that was a bit short by Sikandar Raza.
Ruturaj Gaikwad (9.5/10): Wow! Despite batting at No. 4, his non-favorable spot, Gaikwad displayed why he has the roots of versatility with him. He had a relatively sedate start before going berserk in the late overs. It was his quick-fire 49 off 28 balls that led Team India over 180-run mark. Gaikwad played at a strike rate of 175, which is far better than his career strike rate of 143.
Rinku Singh (5/10): After a special knock in the second T20I, Rinku didn’t get much of a chance to showcase his prowess as the southpaw got only 1 ball to face. He took a single in that ball.
Sanju Samson (7/10): Due to some baffling batting order decisions, Sanju Samson, who predominantly bats at top-order, got the opportunity to bat at No. 5. Sanju only had seven balls to face, in which he made 12 runs, including two fours.
Shivam Dube (3/10): Coming on the back of the iconic T20 World Cup 2024 win, Shivam Dube played as a designated finisher. While he didn’t get any chance to bat, Gill made sure to creep out two overs from him. Dube’s two overs costed 27 runs, as the gentle pace bowler had the costliest economy.
Washington Sundar (10/10): With the ball, he was quite phenomenal. The lanky off-spinner bowled wicket-to-wicket and generated enough bounce off the deck. He claimed three wickets for just 15 runs. Due to this, Sundar even clinched his T20I career’s first Player of the Match award.
Ravi Bishnoi (7/10): Bishnoi was ordinary with the ball as he failed to get any wicket, leaking 37 runs off his four. However, his catch at backward point was a sight to behold as the leggie grabbed all the eyeballs due to his acrobatic efforts.
Avesh Khan (8/10): Continuing his habit to pluck away wickets, Avesh Khan bagged two more in the third T20I. He, however, gave away 39 runs at a high rate of 9.8.
Khaleel Ahmed (8.5/10): After his record-breaking T20I comeback, Khaleel came up with a miserly spell. He swung the ball hard early on which led him to leak away just 15 runs in four overs.
